Founded in 1992 by the Launshal family in the heart of Bergen, our restaurant has been a celebration of Norwegian culinary heritage. Our name, rooted in Old Norse, means “place of warmth and food” – a promise we keep with every dish.

We work directly with local fishermen, foragers, and farmers to bring you the purest ingredients: Arctic cod, wild salmon, reindeer, cloudberries, and herbs from the fjords. Our chefs reinterpret grandmother’s recipes with modern technique, creating an unforgettable Nordic dining experience.
